They wanted to charge me $175.00. I asked to have the phone unlocked if I paid the $175.00.....AT&T Declined to provide the code to unlock the phone. They told that they do not have these codes. I was instructed to return the phone to Apple. Apple wanted to charge me $139.99 restocking fee for them to take the phone back...what a rip off! seems AT&T and Apple really conspired long and hard before releasing the iPhone to hold the consumer down to the Two Year contract and to extort money from unsuspecting clients.</p> I actually tried to cancel my contract with AT&T! In for example Germany Service Providers must unlock the phone against a "small" fee or at the end of the contract.
