Sketches Lets You Draw, Jot Notes, Annotate Photos, and Waste Time

Hey, look who just got its first drawing app. Yes, our little iPhone is growing up so fast. In no time at all he’ll be wearing his first service pack, and heading off to school to join his classmates from RIM, Microsoft, and Nokia. tears
LateNiteSoft created a nifty app who’s time is long overdue. Sketches allows you to make drawings on iPhone’s screen using your finger, opening a world of possibilities for utility and frivolity; draw simple sketches, scribble notes, annotate photos, or just pass away the time drawing mustaches on photos of your friends.
The software is currently in the proof of concept stage of development (that’s Alpha, in geek vernacular) and offers no configuration options whatsoever. For example, only images from your iPhone’s Camera roll can be be imported, and no drawing tool options are offered. Only a “Setup” button is present, but tapping that reveals a generic “Coming soon” promissory note.
Bear in mind Sketches is not a web 2.0 Safari app - it’s one of those shady “unofficial” third party applications that involves utilizing installer mods like AppTap to get up and running. So use at your own peril.

It should say open, but like you I’d rather her legs remain closed.

I find it ironic that none of the iPhone websites (including this one) are designed to be actually read on the iPhone itself!

Not grokking your meaning. My blog renders just fine in Safari. Are you expecting a watered down mobile version?

It renders fine, but is still laid out for a full sized monitor. Check out or . They have embraced the smaller screen size.

I got these advice from one of them geniuses at one of the Apple Store last Friday.
“We currently DO NOT support any App nor have the capability to install any App on your iphone…By installing Apps(or Widgets) on your iPhone, you need to HACK it, and it’s not allowed by Apple, hence the fella who managed to unlock iphone got sued….Apple WILL VOID your warrantee if you hack or install any App not provided by Apple. Your iphone do keep a log of activities and Apple will know what you have installed when you send your iphone in for repair and they will void warrantee if found that you……..”

Apple has their reasons for preventing you from putting Apps on your Iphone. Reason 1-they make more money. Reason 2-the MAN controls everything and this is just another way he can put us down. Reason 3-apple is a company almost exclusively dedicated to preventing the spread of happiness. Yes Ipods are great things and as soon as all the glitches and blocks are worked out so to will be the Iphone, but, as I have come to learn, customer service sucks and it has been shown that over use of either the Iphone or the Ipod could lead to many cases of ear problems and certain studies have shown possible brain cancers. Yes I love my Iphone and Ipod, but there are problems that need to be addressed.
