Adobe Flash Support Coming to iPhone, Ending YouTube Envy
What feature request has been on the lips of every iPhone user since the idolized gadget first came galloping out the gate? I’ll give you a hint, it starts with the letter “F”, and is the same thing your inebriated Uncle Frank does at family get togethers after knocking back one too many martinis. Of course, I’m talking about Flash.
GearLive claims that Apple will be announcing Adobe Flash for WebKit (aka mobile Safari). There have been rumors to this effect for some time, but with the blessed arrival of the much anticipated SDK now only days away, this seems plausible. Still, I wouldn’t start bookmarking YouTube.com on your iPhone just yet. Let’s wait for Apple make this rumor a reality.

You can already, somewhat clumsily have those you tube imbeds work on you iphone. But no all flash sites.

The iPhone that I just purchased on 02/16/08 has a YouTube shortcut on it right out of the box.

have just bought iPhone in Germany. The keyboard software is great. Typing this on it. Only bad point so far, Bluetooth here is blind to everything bit iPhone products. Even two iPhones can’t “see” each other.

Any idea of a date for flash support in Safari? Baseball season is just around the corner and I would like to watch MLB.TV in flash.

That YouTube shortcut you see on your homescreen is a hackjob conversion application developed by Apple to bring YouTube content to iPhone. Don’t confuse that with native Adobe Flash video that YouTube content is delivered in. In an ideal world you should be able to launch YouTube on your iPhone, via Safari, and experience video content directly within the web browser itself, just as you would on a PC or Mac. Make sense?

iPhone flash video will be great, but will it be possible to watch the videos at faster than normal speed like the speed-up in audio books? I use a free plug-in called MySpeed ( http://www.myspeed.us/?rc=bp01 ) to speed up YouTube video lectures on my PC. It saves me so much time, i can’t bear listening to normal speed at all. Anyone know of such a tool?

Does anyone know if iphone Safari can stream sounds in anyway from websites?
