you know . . . 2 and a half months ago my RAZR sort of broke in half (another story completely). I was two months away from an upgrade, and the only thing they would offer me was a smart phone. Of course my first choice was iPhone, but they were so expensive at the time and they were having a sale on Blackberry Pearls. I wound up not upgrading because the monthly data plan was OUTRAGEOUS (35 bucks extra a month for crap features i would never figure out how to use . . . i mean come on). I wound up not upgrading and spending the last few months with a crappy motorola GoPhone. . . UGH! but any way, i can see the light at the end of the tunnel: iPhone 3G. I've tried to use blackberries and they are a pain in the well you know.

i'm curious to see the BS interface they come up with for the so called thunder. what ever it is the device and the services they force on the customer will never match up to what Apple offers.

and i'm gad i didnt go with RIM :P

Ok, So then by your logic, since RIM's had "Push" services, Apple's now copying them with the new MobileMe?
And again, according to your logic, the AppStore is also a copy of say... all the little application stores for Blackberry applications?
I could go on and on, and not just with phones.

It's obvious RIM's trying to get some iPhone people into its own camp by adding a new touchscreen device. Of course it's "copying" but if no one copied anyone else's ideas our market of goods and services would be pretty slim. You try making a car run on something else than circular wheels and then get back to me.

But RIM's Thunder device is nothing more than that. It's not intended for real businessmen. The stats show that they use blackberries and they use tactile keypads. At least for now. The iPhone might have an "anywhere, anytime" keyboard, but for a lot of people, that's not enough, and screen size doesn't matter if you're checking emails and writing replies.
Screen size only comes into account if you're using the device for entertainment, and that does not fall into a business use.

And hell, if I ever see my doctor trying to look at my X-Rays on a skimpy 3.2" screen instead of a 30" monitor, I'm finding a new one, fast.

Mr. Lizard-is looks like a puffy blowhard in a suit. Oh wait! He is!. Rim thinks that making tiny adjustments to tiny keys is being innovative.
I am proud to say I owned a BB Curve-for 2 weeks. Worst phone I ever had.

Retards In Motion.
