I just got this today in the mail. The thing crackles like microwave popcorn. I’m about to return it cause I assumed something is wrong with it. Maybe that’s just what I have to deal with till they perfect this technology?

@Dave: Sadly, as I said, I've yet to find any earbud or inner-ear that stays in my ear more than a few seconds.

I had a marathon session recently and found it lasted seven hours (continuous use) and, after recharging for an hour (might have been two), I got another six hours (again, continuous) before it was drained again. This was excellent and (the first pass was) better than the guide states!

I found the best solution to the ear loop problem is to go without! I use ear piece gels that I bought at Radio Shack, I think – there are several in the box and they go over the earpiece on the Jawbone and fit snugly in your ear. They not only hold the Jawbone on, but they cut out additional environmental noises. Give them a try! They were cheap too – just a couple bucks I think. Sorry I don’t have a link.

I agree. The new design is much, much slimmer. It looks like you can use and ear rung if you want, but not required.

Good to hear about the replacements Dean. Im going to try this also. The ear loops are flimsy and the rubber is prone to tearing. The round part that actually goes in your actually broke off. Good thing it came with extras. Other than that it is a great hands free headset.

My ear loop broke after 6 months, and when I complained Aliph sent me not just one, but four replacement loops of the same kind (i.e. R Long).

Bummer! I still find it extremely perplexing as to why it does not fit in my left ear. Are my ears malformed? LOL!
