I didn’t find 3G speeds in Vancouver were that great. I went back to Edge and saved A LOT of battery life.

HSPA on telus and bell says download speeds are about 14Mb per second and upload speeds to 5.8Mb per second.

tethered to my laptop, my rogers iphone 3g gets ~200KB/s download and about 20-30KB/s upload.

Quite impressive.

I used the SpeedTest free app and my results were:

download: 227 kbps upload: 56 kbps

The upload is extremely slow.
