I would say yes: Mobileme is a great product that made my life a lot easier and does so for a lot of Mac/iPhone owners out there. We are definitely not talking about a Beta but about a product that within the first month of its existence manages to do a lot more than some of its more than one year old colleagues out there. Especially what mobile/desktop syncing is concerned there is nothing that comes even close to it.

Yes me too I screwed everything up when syncing to outlook, but of course like every sane person testing things for the first time I made backups so there was no problem. The conclusion there is simple: It is not ready for outlook, if you need outlook sync you'd better wait for better days. Personally I kicked the last windows (outlook) computer of my life and it solved the problem as well (I feel a lot better, now)

Secondly the web layout is workable but still has some bugs to be worked out. If you intend to use that on a daily base it might be a good idea for waiting a bit.

For as long as you stay on apple platforms you will be making everybody around you jealous with this thing: nothing makes syncing life easier.

Mail is the least of MobileMe's problems. The system is incapable of syncing MS Outlook data with MobileMe in any kind of usable fashion. People (including me) are reporting data loss, disappearing calendar entries, and an absolute inability to get Outlook calendar data to replicate to MobileMe. The Apple support forum for MM PC syncing is on fire right about now.

Once they get MM working, I think it's going to be great. For now, though... stay away.

I would say "no." Even leaving the mail problem aside I'm finding MobileMe very quirky and, at times, non responsive. Basically, we've got a beta.
