Running on 3GS...3.0 fw...definitely have backgrounder so you can use close PDANet and use your phone for other stuffs...Reaaaallllyyy cool!!!

Has anyone successfully used PDANet on a 3GS that was accidentally upgraded to 3.1 firmware? I tried downgrading, I’ve looked everywhere, and can’t tether anymore! Ack!

I read this somewhere else "How can you do PDANet and a VPN at the same time so you can avoid AT&T noticing, make a VPN connection from the iPhone before setting up the tether. They'll still see the amount of traffic, but not the content. For all they know, it could be a network-hungry iPhone application. Youtube anyone?"

Anyone know how I can set up VPN and PDANet on the iphone at the same time?

I get “PDANet failed to establish internet connection on your iPhone” messages constantly. Phone shows all 5 bars of signal and 3G network available (and working fine on the phone itself). What’s wrong with this thing?

great site, lots of useful information, especially in my country where even the new 3.0 OS specs don’t automatically allow for tethering or MMS.ould be great now if someone could give me info on how to get a compatible version of ireal sms, tried the beta version for OS 0.3 but it just keeps crashing.

Excellent article! Got everything i needed and all went smooth on my mac. This is great for avoiding the 9.99-19.99 all day internet usage fees at the hotels or just anytime your internet cuts out in the middle of your poker tournaments (HAPPENS OFTEN!!)
