I’m about to move my accounts to Verizon! I cannot believe that AT&T is withholding the ability to send and receive MMS. The iphone is supposedly the, or one of the most advanced phones on the market and it can’t do something that even the cheapest of phones can do in sending/receiving MMS.

I, along with all my iPhone friends are seriously considering handing over the torch

ATT will never be able to confine the iPhone strictly to it’s service… as long as there are other GSM service providers, there will be a way to use the iPhone on another service.

Many of these are features that only ATT can provide, such as MMS (which needs ATT to hold your messages until they are forwarded to or from you, in case a recipient is not available)

In fact, they are things ATT would like to SELL you. Such as GPS turn by turn is available on other smartphones on ATT, as a paid network service. They can provide voice recording (to their servers of course, FOR A FEE). Oh god would they ever love to sell you RingTones direct. OMG four dollars for 30 seconds! Thats what they have historically sold for. OH GOD BUY A WHOLE LOTTA RINGTONESSS!!!

apple is avoiding flash because it uses up about 55% more processing power than it does with windows mobile, where it only uses 8%. (Guesstimation.) That’s why Steve’s all like, “No.” and adobe’s like, “Come on.” And Steve’s like, “Go away.”… that and it probably has something to do with Hulu and other sites where I can watch endless movies and video.

Tethering is probably more on AT&T than Apple.
