Announcing the Smartphone Round Robin!
(Instead of giving you a roundup of last week’s news, today I’m excited to give you a glimpse into the news you’re going to see at our Smartphone Experts sites over the next two months! — Dieter)
We are pleased to announce the Smartphone Round Robin!. Each year the editors of the Smartphone Experts family of sites literally trade their phones to see what life is like on the “other side.” What you’re going to see over the course of the next two months is each of our five SPE Community Editors reviewing smartphones that they’re not used to using. Each editor has a checklist of “Must-Dos” that ensure they’re getting the full experience with each smartphone. It’s quite a ride.

I’ll be very interested to follow the round robin. When the first round robin was published, I was a Winows Mobile user with an eye on the iPhone. Now I’m an iPhone user, & I’ll be interested to see if, after reading the round robin, I feel like I made the right choice.

This is a great idea! It will be very interesting to see what everybody thinks about all the other phones. I love my Blackberry Curve, but the lure of the iPhone is hard to ignore!

I would love to see the phones rated in different areas to provide actual comparisons. Reading the entries is great, but it might be easier when comparing different phones. Of course, the comparisons are written pretty well, so maybe it is moot. I am curious if anyone will ever view another brand’s phone as a better device than the one they regularly use.

I have a blackberry curve buti always go on this website because oneday I’ll get an Iphone. I’m jelious of my co-worker who has the Itouch. I ask him to see if I can use it but he doesn’t. I really want my own iphone. Please consider giving me one. That’s my Christmas Wish. Thanks

I’m really curious to see what the editors think of the G1. Also, I think we were pretty tough on Windows Mobile in the last round robin, so I’m curious to see how the current editors feel about it given that there are two windows mobile phones for review.
