@Dieter, You can actually turn off the gsm radio and leave wifi on. Just switch it to airplane mode and then turn on wifi. Then you’ll see the airplane in the top left, with the wifi symbol right next to it. I do this all the time at work, because we don’t get cell service.
Bonus tip. In the contacts app, tap on the time. It takes you right to the search box. Handy.

I listened to about 30 minutes of it on my walk to work and loved it althought I didn’t like the bashing of the iPhone when clearly Rene is king Arthur of that table! Anyways can’t wait to listen to the rest when I get home!!!

Awesome podcast, held my attention the whole way through (I usually avoid audio podcasts in favor of video podcasts). Very informative.

Great, great podcast. Can’t wait for the next one! I was definitely engrossed by the discussions. Seemed even better than the round robin reviews because of the point/vantage point of the discussions.
I was SHOCKED. To here Dieter be out & out wrong about something. As S. Sizemore points out, you can turn the cell radio off and have wi-fi on by putting the iPhone in airplane mode. Piece of cake.
Also @ Dieter, when it comes to texting, you don’t have to find the person in contacts first. You can simply bring up the text editor and start typing their name & iPhone will auto-fill. Maybe that will make testing easier for you.
Keep up the great work. I love hearing a discussion forum such as this that compared multiple platforms.
