[This is an official Smartphone Experts Round Robin post! Every day you reply here, you're automatically entered for a chance to win an iPhone 3G, Case-Mate Naked Case, and Motorola H9 Bluetooth Headset! Full contest rules here!]
We’ve come full circle. After previewing the Android G1, Treo Pro, HTC FUZE, and BlackBerry Bold, I’m finally — finally — back to the iPhone 3G.
Will I still know how to use it? Will it be enough to mellow my month-long harsh? Will my own childlike sense of wonder be restored?
Check out the video, and then head on over to my triumphant return thread in the TiPb iPhone forums, and help me find out!
Every day you comment here, you get one entry to win not only a supra-shiny iPhone 3G, but the Case-Mate Naked Case which allows full touch through access to the iPhone’s amazing screen. Smartphone Outlet is also kicking in the revolutionary Motorola H9 Bluetooth Headset AND a runner-up prize, $50 coupon good at any SPE store, including the new Smartphone Outlet, where you can find refurb Smartphone Accessories at very (very!) low prices.

The round robin has been pretty awesome and I gotta(of course other than the iPhone) say the bold was pretty cool
December 25th, 2008 at 1:13 am
what game is that at the end with the blocks
December 25th, 2008 at 1:24 am
Gosh, it was almost embarrassing to watch your iPhone reunion… the way you so lovingly touched it… wait!… is that Santa I hear on the roof with a new iPhone for me?… or just the snow sliding off?
December 25th, 2008 at 3:25 am
The iPhone reins burrito supreme, happy holidays!
December 25th, 2008 at 4:21 am
Great video! Hey, did you get any of the 2.2 software bugs I’ve heard like losing WiFi? That’s what happened to me when I had the 2.2 software so I downgraded to 2.1. However I am going overseas over the holidays and the google street view can help me NOT get lost. Anyways merry Christmas and a happy new year!
December 25th, 2008 at 5:45 am
No 2.2 issues here. And welcome back to the iPhone world. I’m sure it won’t take long for you to get reacquainted with the easy UI
December 25th, 2008 at 6:39 am
Excellent video on the iphone. No doubt its the best smart phone out there.
December 25th, 2008 at 6:46 am
I would have to say the iPhone is the best.
December 25th, 2008 at 6:57 am
This vids really lighten things up for me. If you’re like me you read up and read up that the only sound you hear are the taps of the keyboard, or the click of the mouse. Round Robin is insightful and entertaining…well at least for me
Thanks and keep up the great work!
December 25th, 2008 at 7:29 am

Getting back to the iPhone is just like riding a bike, you might be out of practice, but you certainly didn’t forget.
December 25th, 2008 at 10:05 am
So is it a relief to be back to the iPhone? Anything you miss from the others? Oh yea, and Merry Christmas to all!
December 25th, 2008 at 11:13 am
I really like the ending. lol. I never realized how much faster the 3G phone worked over the 2G – hardware-wise.
December 25th, 2008 at 2:29 pm
thanx for the review!
December 25th, 2008 at 2:52 pm
Multitasking on a True OS is application independent. The argument is that you want the average user to have a certain “experience” and therefore on Apple’s apps are only allowed to multitask. I’ve seen Safari crash time after time, truly a bad user experience. The argument doesn’t hold water.
December 25th, 2008 at 2:57 pm
Is that an argument for or against multitasking?
I.e. Apple’s apps crash so often, imagine how bad 3rd party apps would do multitasking?
Or, if Apple’s going to let Safari crash like that, they shouldn’t care what 3rd parties do?
BTW – does Safari still crash for you under 2.2?

I want to see the Smartphone Experts Round Robin links for 2009! The iPhone 4G with copy-and-paste?
December 26th, 2008 at 1:08 pm
I just got my iPhone and now we are talking Iphone nano… wonder how much better that will be. I like a full screen though.
December 26th, 2008 at 1:49 pm
Good contrast with the other phones. But the iPhone has problems with more resource intensive apps as well as the memory management could be better. But I agree its alot more intuitive to use then the other round robin phones.
December 26th, 2008 at 11:09 pm
Nice video.
December 28th, 2008 at 12:17 am

December 30th, 2008 at 1:52 am
Very nice Video. That interface is phenomenal. But still just a fantastic show of gadgetry. I don’t want to take anything away from the iPhone, but that’s all it has. Some minds just want more.
