Depending on what type of phone you have. CALLREC is the perfect phone cording software, but its only for palm as i know. Apple has not and will not publish or post any such app into to the app store. You may be able to find what you are looking for if your a iphone user under planet-iphone.

I too really need a phone recorder for my iphone. I used the CalRec for palm all the time. I live in Alabama were it is legal and it has helped me so many times in court!!!

It would be great to be able to record phone calls especially for journalistic uses, interviews, etc.

The application shouldn't be to far-fetched to produce. Prior to owning an iPhone, I used a Palm Treo. I purchased an application for the Palm OS called CallRec which is an awesome program allowing for the recording of phone calls, voice memos or business meetings.

So programs are indeed available. It's just the particular operating systems that are in question. I have already checked and the makers of CallRec do not make a program for other than the Palm OS.

Like many who own an iPhone, I will purchase such a program as soon as one is available. Hope this helps.

I wouldn’t want to live in a world where an app for secretly recording phone calls was easily accessible. My guess is that Apple has probably excluded this feature for ethical reasons. Apple is good people.

Hi. I can’t seem to get a straight answer anywhere about an iPhone app that lets you record phone calls. Most of the information out there just talks about “memos.” Other strings go into the different state-by-state legalities of recording phone calls, which seems irrelevant. I attend a lot of teleseminars. Many are during the work day and I can’t attend, although I could dial the number and hit a “record” button. I don’t understand why it’s so difficult to get information on this capability. Why hasn’t someone made this yet?

I have yet to find any app that can record a phone call. I think it is probably impossible, due to both the software and the hardware.
