&lt;p&gt;If the authors were to update it periodically and include a reference guide that actually carried reviews or ratings of individual wines it would be worth more as a shopping guide.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;They could also allow the great unwashed masses to rate wines, and thereby build up a independent opinion database of this type of data.  &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;That would convert it from a static document to an interactive community tool.  But I&#039;m betting this never gets done.&lt;/p&gt;
