iPhone 3.0 Beta 4: Store Prefs, Camera Re-Takes

No sooner has iPhone 3.0 Beta 4 been released, then our tip-lines have been filling up with finds. So far the big news looks to be that that mysterious “Store” tap, icon-less and empty in previous betas, now sports user info.

Also, the camera is now polite enough to ask if you like the photo you just took and want to save it, or if you don’t and want a chance to re-take it. Note: we’re not sure about this change yet, it may only be implemented for MMS, and may have been around in previous betas (lots of maybes, we know, we’re trying to sort through everything as efficiently as possible.) If it is system wide, some of us will lament the loss of our ability to rapidly snap photo after photo without the interruption of requesters…

(Thanks Andrew and anons!)

The fact that it says “use” implies to me that the picture would be used for a specific purpose (such as sending as MMS). Otherwise, it would say something like “keep”.

Keep the news coming! At this rate, there will be three or four more betas.

on myi.gr you can see more screenshots and changes just change the language from the flag menu on the upper right corner :D

The main camera app doesn’t ask you save, must just be application specific like with apps available on the current 2.2.1.

I think this is for MMS. Most applications ( that I have downloaded ) use the retake / use thing.

We’ve seen how the camera could possibly look like before. However , i hope the camera has more features and is faster.

It seems like the camera is getting slower and boggier everyday. =[

very nice and update info on latest gadget. Like it

The retake option is for MMS. When you select the “Take Photo” option it brings up the screen for you to either retake or use that photo.

Also noticed that the camera app asks to use your current location for geotagging, not sure if this is new???
