I really hope this isn’t true. I don’t think it would be a wise move for Apple not to launch an iPhone this year. I really do hope that Apple goes unibody like they did with their MacBook line and go back to the black instead of the crome with the iPhone 3G.

Well if there is a new iPhone and they won't announce it at the wwdc it will not be smart move!

Palm pre will be coming out!
Y spend time with an other conference while u can get everything out of the way at once?
If they don't announce pretty soon I'll get the pre I'm getting bored of 3g. ( lack of system memory!!!)

We do get first hand access to what's happening with the iPhone, if there were new hardware coming out, with or without the 3.0 launch,, we would know by now.

So how much money do blogs like TIPB make when they spread rumors? Analysts are paid to do it. If you're not getting paid to do it, stby!

(I hate these analyst posts. "Steve Jobs is never returning and Apple is rebirthing The Newton as an iTablet, using the same name. In other news, Apple is also in talks to buy Twitter and Google and will be licensing OS X for use on any Intel-compatible computer." Oh really? Is that the cocaine talking, Mr. Analyst?)

I think there's no different if the new iphone is presented at WWDC or later in June on a special event. Either way it's not availaible until july.

Exactly, it's sad that so many "Apple" fans are fooled. One only needs to look at all the recent/current iphone commercials, everything is about the "app-store."

As a iphone technical support rep for Rogers, with no incentive for sales, I can safely say there is no new iPhone hardware coming with 3.0, simply new software.

Nobody said there would be a new phone released WITH software release 3.0.

But I doubt that a tech support rep, working for a different company, in a different country, would be the first to know when a new piece of hardware was to be released. No disrespect intended....

I really hate when these rumors get out of control, as people will be getting there hopes up, the start cursing apple when they don't get new hardware, when the current is amazing as it is.

I agree. And it is not uncommon for companies to have strategic "leaks" regarding new product as it has an impact on stock value.
