PCalc has been out a long time. As an early adopter of it myself, I'm just fine with them doing sales. I'm an adult with no personal responsibility issues, so if I buy early 'cause I can't wait, I do so knowing the price will drop later.

Terminator was a much faster drop, but that looks to be part of the still-in-flux App Store market everyone is trying to figure out. If they hadn't dropped the price, people would likely be just as upset...

That said, James Thomson helping them calculate Skynet is disturbing ;)

Bigmike, it's tricky - Apple doesn't have any mechanism in place to let us developers do something like that, and it's really just a limited time promotion to try and improve sales. But if I had Apple's billions in spare cash, I'd be happy to :)

On another note, I know PCalc is used by some people who work at US robotics companies, so the combination of the two apps above is a little worrying :)

I think that when we are charged $9.99 for a app, and then a short time later the price is dropped by $4.00, they should somehow credit our iTunes account.
I have no problem spending money on something good, but like Apple did when the first iPhone came out, they gave $100 back!!.
