The huge June to September 2008 drop in iPhone popularity coincides with a pretty stark period in the economy but also with a period of fairly widespread and widely reported problems with the then new iPhone 3G and software 2.0, and ATT.

March 2009, a stable OS 2.2.1, expectations of the next release and a marginally improving economy, and demand jumps back up.

So which is it, the Economy, or The iPhone Blog?
