Apple Updates MobileMe WebApps… A Little
Apple has once again made some service improvements to MobileMe:
We recently updated the web applications at me.com. In Mail, you can now see your unread message count in your Inbox and in each of your Mail folders, and forwarding or replying to HTML (rich text) messages now maintains the messages’ original formatting. In addition, there is a direct link to Help in the toolbar. See this support article for more details and a summary of other improvements.
Coming on the heels of WWDC 2009 related improvements, like Find my iPhone, MobileMe updates continue to more closely resemble the steady, iterative process that best suits the web applications model, rather than the big splashy event releases of classic hardware and software. Kudos to Apple for that.
Now how about that iDisk App?

Installed the 3.1 beta firmware last night, and have noticed an interesting MobileMe sync change…
Calendar subscriptions in iCal are being synced via the cloud to my iPhone, but don’t show up in the MobileMe web app. If I delete the subscription from iCal, it gets deleted from the phone, without ever showing up in the MobileMe web app.

I think it’s STUNNING that Apple has taken THIS LONG to add HTML formatting to forwarded and replied messages. That was an embarrassing shortfall that Google and the others have had for years. However, the fact I have to use MobileMe web at work (PC with XP, can’t install apps), I felt so limited doing email at work. Iteration is a smart way for them to do business after the infamous “Summer of ‘08″. Sometimes, though, when you’re an application and hardware company such as Apple, you’re very slow to adapt worthy web stuff. The changes are more than welcomed…but come on keep going.

Id still like to see server side rules, and better spam control, that can be used on the iphone side as well.

I’m having the same issue as Jared. My subscribed calendars in ical are being pushed to the cloud then not viewable on the webapp but on my iphone under the “MobileMe” section.
On my iPhone, I like to look at my calendars from “Mobile Me” separately from “Subscribed” but I now have a copy of my subscribed calendars in the “MobileMe” section AND “Subscribed” section because I subscribed via the iphone as well. I guess I can delete the subscribed on the iphone accounts settings but I won’t be able to look at these calendars separately.
Any ideas?
