Apple “rejected” Google Voice for iPhone from the iTunes App Store, the FCC asked Apple, AT&T, and Google to answer some questions about that rejection. Now those questions have been answered-ish, and boy did it result in a flurry of posts here on TiPb and more importantly — an impressive and penetrating degree of analysis from our commenters.

In addition this is starting to hit the Mainstream press.

Last week, the press was just echoing Apple’s line (changing the interface, wasn’t really rejected, etc. etc.)

However now stories point out the lie are starting to come out:

Apple, rushes Snow Leopard out to cover the bad press??? (Nah, they wouldn’t do that would they?)

    Sure they would!

I hope the folks that defended Apple in those threads over the weekend read your link. Kind of difficult to claim Apple isn’t lying their *** off after reading what devs have to say.

The sad thing is that Apple would almost surely reform the app approval process if all the fan boy web sites would support the devs in their protest. I really can’t grok why the choose a bs corp over consumers and devs. Makes no sense. Are they getting payola from Apple or something??

I could care less about the Google Voice. I’ve tried it, it sucks. Google is dropping the ball more than Clinton whenever he sees a fat woman with cankles.
