iPhone Earns #1 Spots in J.D. Power and Associates’ Personal and Business Satisfaction Ratings

iphone_award

Apple’s iPhone has stepped into first place in both personal and business categories of J.D. Power and Associates’ second wireless phone satisfaction study of 2009.

The study was based on physical design, features, operating system, ease of use, and battery function on a 1000 point scale. iPhone scored top honers with 811 in personal use and 803 in business use. Respectively, LG took second place in personal use with 776 and RIM landed in second under the business category with 724 points.

None of these results surprise any of us here at TiPb, especially given how the iPhone keeps on racking up the number 1 spots in general.

Steve Jobs has a huge smile on his face right about now…

    But… but… it has no built in keyboard, you can’t do Exchange with it… but… but…

    Oh, I can hear it now.

  3. sting7k Says:

    @Wayne, you can do exchange. I’m using it right now.

    haha, funny how in the article they mention one of the key factors being battery function. but everyday people are whining about it. personally mine it great!

  5. Jozsoo Says:

    Let’s honor Apple scoring top honors with the right spelling of honor (ohne honer, as the German would say).

    A, J.D. Power, where you can BUY any rating you want.

    Odd how people dismiss Power when they rank someone else as best. Remember the bashing when Blackberry won this award?

  7. Iain 117 Says:

    Actually, honor is correctly spelt “Honour” ;)

    It’s going to be hard to catch Up with everything the iPhone offers and in the U.S. AT&T has a good price on the phone. Which also brings cheap *** complainers that want reception like they have a cell tower in their back pocket. It’s 11:30 am. Pretty much lunch time here in NorCal and I’m pulling 2015Kbps down off the 3G tower. Not bad AT&T! Not bad at all!!

    This is totally off topic, but has anyone seen the new ATT phone called the nuvifone.. kind of neat.

    In no way in my last message am I saying or talking about that Garmin phone as if its an iphone killer.. lol.. just thought it looked cool, and hadn’t heard about it until today.. yes, this is still off topic.. sorry.

    I think it’s a very deserving ranking. Everything on the iPhone is awesome as far as mobiles go. As for battery, considering everything I do on my iPhone (very heavy use..I don’t have a computer lol!) it holds up well enough

    @icebike

    of course apple “bought” their rating. The alternative would be that most users are actually satisfied with their iPhones…….oh the horror!!!!!!

    @D.Allen

    The NuviPhone is by GARMIN, the industry leader in Personal Navigation Devices.

    Its a phone bolted onto a PND. If you drive a lot, its a better device than an iPhone, but not as versatile.
