Kooaba allow you to take a picture of a movie poster, then looks up the info about the movie.
You just push the camera icon on the main screen, snap a picture and it load (takes a long time – 30 secs+), then it opens safari and displays the movie details.
You can also view the history of your searches (if you ended up wasting that much time)

Given the lack of iPhone tools for camera or picture editing (you don’t even have some basic filters on the camera!), I saw this program and was pretty excited. It is advertised as a way to add filters to your pictures, including many filters that are commonly found on major software editing packages. So I decided to pick this up and take a look to see what it offered.
A digital remake of a director’s slate with clear audio and video sync cue, Slate features a large display of production, director, scene, take and current time. With easy to increment scene and take number, Slate comes with two colors; white and black, and two sync cues; beep and clap.
GolfTraxx for the iPhone offers support for landmarks as well as distances to front, center, and back of each green. It’s been a bit slow here at TiPB, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been working behind the scenes for some great stuff for you all. We’re going to a little messy this weekend, so please pardon our dust as we make a few changes here and there. If you can’t help yourself and don’t mind seeing holes in the drywall, you might try stopping by over the weekend to get a hint at the big announcement that’s coming on Monday morning.

Have you been hiding under a rock lately? If so, come on outside, it’s springtime and springtime means (this year, at least) that iPhone 3G rumors are flying around so fast and furious they’ll make your head spin faster than the first time you heard about the birds and the bees. So what’s the word?
The word is basically that the iPhone 3G is going to look and feel a lot like the current iPhone, with a few small changes. The first is that the aluminum backing is going to be replaced by plastic — plastic is generally bad but we trust that Apple has it in them to do it right. This plastic-backed iPhone will also apparently not be exactly the same shape as the current iPhone, but close enough for government work. Well, closer than that. Anyhow, what this means is that the iPhone will be all black. Actually, a single type of plastic for the entire shell of the iPhone 3G means that Apple can release multiple colors. White, for example, seems like it would be the obvious choice.
Oh, and that “3G” part in “iPhone 3G” means that, yes, it will have 3G. We can also expect it to have full GPS and maybe, just maybe, another surprise or two.
Of course, there are naysayers for all of the above
Last but not least: release date. Nobody knows. The consensus seems to be that it will be announced at WWDC this June and released later in the year. We can pretty much guarantee a release by the end of the year — AT&T said so, so there. There are other rumors swirling about, though. For example: AT&T employees are not allowed to go on vacation until after May 15th “”due to projected increased traffic and an exciting new promotion/product launch.” The only other time that’s happened was when the original iPhone was launched. Likely? No. Intriguing? Sure.
There’s also the fact that there are a bunch of 3G rumors coming out of Europe. This makes sense — a lot of industry folks believe that the iPhone’s poor performance in Europe is due to the fact that they’re all 3G snobs: if it ain’t 3G, it ain’t a real phone. The latest is that the iPhone 3G is going to be tested in Austria very soon

The Incipio Executive OVRMLD case for the iPhone ($29.95, store link) isn’t exactly a case of style over substance, though you could make that argument. Certainly my review unit’s smooth red leather offset with tan stitching makes a very attractive enclosure for the iPhone. My wife, who has yet to succumb to iPhone fever, remarked that I should keep this case around should she ever change her mind.

My iPhone came well in advance of the computer. So for nearly ten days, I had an attractive looking paperweight. Meanwhile, a box full of accessories went to a different address — I was on vacation you see — so I couldn’t do much except stare at the iPhone box. Finally, I figured I would activate the iPhone on a different computer – though there is a danger to this madness. When I finally synched it to my home computer, I’d essentially be ‘wiping’ the iPhone and starting anew. Still, I had a working iPhone for a couple of days before the device and accessories were united.
Like a giddy young girl headed to the prom, my iPhone looked at the box of accessories. Cases, screen protectors, sync and charge cables, even a fancy Motorola Bluetooth headset were ready to take her out. The question of course: what to wear. Well, the one screen protector was a no-brainer. No one wants to get damaged on a night out. The sync and charge cable was a simple retracting affair. No, it was the cases that posed the most difficulty. There were three soft rubberized cases in pink, brown (yuck), and blue. Two semi hard cases, and a Tough Skin Sport by Speck. And the prettiest of the lot was an executive deep red leather case. For whatever reason, I was attracted to the light blue bad-boy-sounding Marware Sport Grip (store link, $14.95).
