Raven from iPhoneDevCamp sent me this link to a video interview he made with the now famous Greg Packer, better known to the world as “iPhone camper guy”.

According to Cult of Mac, Apple employees have begun showing iPhone pride a week ahead of launch. Several readers reported that, at several Apple retail stores, staffers were spotted eagerly flaunting their iPhones in front of customers and answering questions about the device.
Does Steve know about this? What happened to the tight-lipped company I once knew and loved?

When a tipster sent word that some people were already loitering around the Apple Store in NYC I was immediately skeptical. Then I was sent this link and nearly fell on my knees laughing, then later crying as the terrible realization of the implications this has on my prospects of getting an iPhone on Friday. FYI – is it just me or is this guy a tool for taking donations to help him acquire an iPhone, just days before the product launch?
Wait, what am I saying? I can’t talk now, I’m on my way to camp out at the AT&T Wireless store in Fort Wayne Indiana. Goodbye!

Apple Stores will be stocking an assortment of 25 available iPhone accessories this Friday during the big launch extravaganza. Most of these accessories are limited to cases and screen protectors, though I wonder if iPhone’s screen even supports screen protectors at all. We’ll have to wait for confirmation on that.
The company will also be offering its Bluetooth Headset for a hefty price of $129. Ouch!

Remember that mysterious iPhone display unit erected in the wee hours at the 5th Avenue Apple Store? Well they have cropped up everywhere now. Both Apple retail stores and AT&T Wireless stores are featuring these frightening iPhone displays that demonstrate iPhone features and threaten to abduct your children.
What impresses me most about these displays is the amount of money invested in development. However much these units cost to manufacture, it wasn’t cheap I can tell you that. This illustrates the importace both companies place on this product.

Apple has updated its iPhone product webpage with a new guided tour video, demoing the phone and its operation. This is the first official demo of the final software framework in action, but very little is revealed that we didn’t already know. One thing that was finally made clear is the location and placement of the SIM tray on top of the device, which wasn’t clearly visible in previous photos.
The scary part of the video is the Steve Jobs wannabe, wearing a black mock turtleneck with sleeves rolled up. He looked the part but failed miserably to use Steveisms like “Boom” and “wouldn’t it be great..”

Apple employees are setting up a mysterious iPhone display that looks more like a prop from Stanley Kubrick’s Monolith than an iPhone model. Thanks to Andrew for sending me this tip (and pics).
