“I’m a PC… And I Use an iPhone!”

Okay, so it’s not PC, it’s John Hodgman, the actor who plays (brilliantly) PC in the highly successful “Get a Mac” ads from Apple. But as Engadget shows, it’s definitely an iPhone he’s using.

Of course, that should come as no surprise, given Microsoft’s market share, most iPhone users are Windows-based on the PC side. Makes sense then, that their commercial avatar loves him some mobile OS X as well!

The conspiracy minded among us, however, might just find it odd that this spy pick comes our way just in time for Microsoft’s latest ill-conceived step down their $300 million advertising sink hole. Word to Redmond: I’m a PC too. Now stop embarrassing me with this “me too” nonsense, get some therapy for the Apple and Google envy (seriously, you’re like 10x their size, it’s time to act like it), and stick to making great products. The rest will really take care of itself

Celebspotting: Megan Fox with an iPhone

Pardon us while we forget how civilized, non-misogynistic, and enlightened owning an iPhone has made us. The iPhone gets to our caveman brain — we’re as helpless staring at the iPhone as a neanderthal staring at fire. Other things that get us in that same primitive gadget zone: Star Wars and that recent Transformers move (which, except for that Shia guy, was good times).

What we’re getting at here is that while we may not have as many celeb sightings as our CrackBerry.com friends, when we get one we make it count, friends, we make it count Tri-Fecta style. Megan Fox of Transformers fame + iPhone + retro Star Wars T-Shirt is worth five hundred janky Paris Hilton CrackBerry sightings.

Let’s do this some more — send in your Celeb iPhone sightings to news@theiphoneblog.com

iObama! iPhone Campaign Sighting

Obama using his iPhone on the campaign trail

Either sister site Crackberry.com jumped the gun in endorsing Barack Obama based on his favorite gadget being a “Blackberry”, or the Senator once again proved himself the young, hip, agent of change in ditching last year’s Waterloo for some Cupertino chic in the form of the iPhone.

Whether a gift from Oprah, or from El Jobso himself in lieu of campaign donations, this video (after the ad, 1:10 in — kinda) clearly shows Obama pulling out his elegantly styled iPhone, effortlessly navigating its unmatched user interface, and easily receiving the information he needed.

We all know Karl Rove got the iPhone into the Oval, but could Obama’s be the first one in the Big Chair itself? Trick question, if elected we all know he’ll be rocking an iPhone 3G…

[Confession: This post is 100% politics free by virtue of being written by a Canadian in Canada who finds the US election process far too binary and direct to be understandable.]
