Facebook 3.0.1 for iPhone [Free - iTunes link], which fixes some of the bugs found in Facebook 3.0 (others are reportedly being fixed on the Facebook backend servers), is now being served piping hot and ready from the iTunes App Store.
(And wow but can Apple approve fast in some cases?!)
[Thanks Cameron for the tip!]

Every week a few of us from team TiPb, bloggers and forum crew alike, will bring you our current favorite, funnest, most useful App Store apps, WebApps, jailbreak apps, even the occasional accessory, web site, or desktop app if the mood strikes us. As long as they’re iPhone (or iPod touch) related, they’re fair game.
So who’s on deck this week and what are our picks? Find out after the break!

Yep, you read the headline right, after many days of anticipation, and a few minutes of is-it-or-isn’t-it, Facebook 3.0 [Free - iTunes link] for iPhone (and iPod touch) is now live in the iTunes App Store. Go download it now, or check out Chad’s preview if you’re still on the fence… (Why would you still be on the fence, it’s the biggest social network in the ‘verse and it’s for free!)
Note: It’s not showing up for every user in every store on every device yet, so be patient, try searching, try iTunes on your PC or Mac, try it on the iPhone, or just wait a bit and it’ll be all good…
If/when you do get it, let us know what you think. Finally better than the WebApp? Better than the full on web version? Hit the comments below or drop us a line on our Facebook page!
[Thanks to everyone who mailed and tweeted us!]

Facebook engineer and — more importantly to us — Facebook iPhone (and iPod touch) app developer Joe Hewitt announced on Twitter that he:
Just uploaded Facebook for iPhone 3.0 to the App Store for review. [...] I’ll be posting more details and screen shots to the app’s page on Facebook this week
Here’s the Facebook page if you want to follow along, and we’re guessing a lot of you do based on how many tweeted and sent this our way! (Thanks everyone!)
UPDATE: AppAdvice has a preview up if you want to see more.
REMINDER: No push notification in Facebook 3.0, that’s road mapped for 3.1, which the developer will be starting work on next…

Whether the idea of push notification for the iPhone Facebook app makes you want to do a happy dance, or just run screaming for the delete button, according to a recently published note, you won’t be getting it in the 98% completed Facebook 3.0 anyway:
Push Notifications, is in development but it won’t make it into 3.0. You can expect it in a 3.1 update later this summer.
So what will Facebook 3.0 bring? The “new” news feed, ability to “like” status, events with rsvp, notes, pages, better photo management and browsing, a new home screen, fixed comment notifications, SMS and call from friends screen, and auto-save so incoming calls don’t kill your unfinished messages.
