Verizon and Motorola have taken their shots at the iPhone, and TiPb has offered some counter points, but truth be told there’s not a smartphone on the planet that’s anywhere close to perfect yet, so even our signature device, Apple’s iPhone, has plenty of room for improvement. Since Steve Jobs is a firm believer in “great artists steal”, which feature do you think Apple should consider stealing from the Droid for the next version of the iPhone?

Which Verizon Droid Feature Do You Most Want on the iPhone?

Our sibling site, WMExperts.com is doing their part to balance TiPb’s Apple-centricity with a reminder that Microsoft Windows 7 launches tomorrow. However, since most iPhone and iPod touch users are also Windows users, TiPb’s fully on board this new release train as well.

I’ve been using Windows 7 since the beta, and have ordered but not yet received my upgrade licenses (oh, hai Amazon!). Not to get all Mossberg’y, but I’ve found it to be solid, stable, and yes — compatible. However, I liked Vista, so something that sought to make Vista better… it had me from announcement.

Those worried that there might be issues with Windows 7, it looks like both Apple and Microsoft have done everything they needed to do to make sure users would have no problems for iPhone, iPod touch, MobileMe, and/or iTunes 9 users. If you do experience any trouble, hit up TiPb’s iPhone Forums and we’ll be happy to trouble shoot with you.

Windows 7 Launches Tomorrow, Which iPhone Users are Making the Upgrade?

The iPhone and Twitter go together like peanut butter and chocolate, so it’s no wonder we enjoy an unparalleled quantity and quality of Twitter apps for the iPhone. From the earliest jailbreak version of Twitterrific to the latest releases of Tweetie and Twitbit, with everything from TweetDeck, Twittelator Pro, Birdfeed, SimplyTweet, Echofon/Twitterfon, and even Twitter.com’s mobile site thrown in-between (and that’s not counting the specialty clients like Birdhouse, qStatus, and Reportage), it’s really an embarrassment of riches at this point.

So, to help us sort through all the amazing Twitter apps, we want to know which one you use. Granted, like us you might have several installed — you might even have them all! — but we want to know your primary, number one, go-to Twitter client. Follow Friday Poll: What’s Your Current Go-To iPhone Twitter Client?

Roughly 3 weeks ago Google (finally!) added Gmail to their Google Sync service, allowing iPhone users to add push email to the previously available contacts and calendars. It wasn’t a solution for everyone, since it used Microsoft’s ActiveSync, which allows for only one account per device, and many users already had a business Exchange server in that slot. For those without Exchange, however, it’s awesome, right?

Or is it? We’ve had many readers tell us it works great, and others who’ve had some problems — enough that we want to ask, how’s Google Sync working on your iPhone?

AT&T iPhone MMS One Week Later — Using It?

AT&T finally launched MMS for the iPhone last Friday, and you’ve had the whole weekend to use, abuse, or ignore it. So, how is it? Love it, like it, avoid it like the plague? Huge fan, hype fried, frustrated by network issues, or just couldn’t care less? Let us know!

Poll: So How’s AT&T iPhone MMS?

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that the FCC is set to announce what amounts to “net neutrality” today, something that will make users and technology companies like Google, Amazon, and Apple’s iTunes ecstatic, while roshambo’ing Big Telco right where it hurts.

Basically, net neutrality means data carriers like cable and DLS providers and wireless/mobile telephone companies can’t restrict what travels over their lines or airwaves. Data is data. Disallow SlingPlayer or Skype? Sorry, not allowed.

It’s not all good news for consumers, however, as carriers like the iPhone’s AT&T are already buckling under the existing data load, and allowing bandwidth gulping apps like SlingPlayer could bring down more towers, faster. It could also cause Big Telco to respond by raising their rates.

Also, the proposal would only prevent networks from blocking legitimate websites and services, not those deemed illegitimate (i.e. torrent sites).

Of course, an FCC proposal is a long way from a new network order, and AT&T and other ISPs, as well as those who oppose government regulation on principle, will likely continue to oppose it.

Poll: FCC to Announce “Net Neutrality” Today. You Want?

So, how’s your battery life doing under iPhone 3.1? If you jumped on it immediately last Wednesday, or had a few days to try it out at least, have you noticed any big changes? Much better? Much worse? Or is it pretty much the same?

Yeah, we ask this every time there’s a new firmware, but that’s just because Apple seems to be tweaking things every time there’s a new firmware.
